The finalists of the 6th International St. Christopher Composer Competition have been announced. Following the jury’s evaluation of the works submitted to the competition, six compositions have been selected to be performed at the final laureates’ concert in Vilnius.
The following composers and works have been selected for the final:

The six selected works now advance to the final stage of the competition. They will be performed by the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra on October 10 at 7:00 PM at Vilnius Town Hall, conducted by the orchestra’s Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, Modestas Barkauskas.
The final evening will be not only a concert of contemporary music, but also the ceremonial culmination of the competition. During the event, it will be revealed which of the six finalists will receive the titles of Laureates of the 6th International St. Christopher Composer Competition. The audience will have an opportunity to hear, in a single concert, music by composers representing different countries and creative traditions, brought together through the sound of the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra.
We warmly congratulate Anselm McDonnell, Justina Repečkaitė, Gerson de Sousa Batista, Kateřina Horká, Moritz Laßmann, and Gustė Galuškinaitė on reaching the final, and we thank all the composers who participated in this year’s competition for sharing their music with us and for their trust.
